HYDRANT CHASE : original woodcut print with acrylic detail
size: approx: 12 1/2 in. by 12 1/2 in.
This original piece was created by cutting into a wood block and running it through a press. I then embellish details using acrylic paint. Hydrant Chase was inspired by one of my favorite authors, David Sedaris. I just find his writing hysterical and in one of his novels he mentioned a dog chasing a sock puppet. This visual led me to create this woodcut only my weird little mind altered it to a dog chasing a fire hydrant. I’m hoping the hydrant gets away.
